Real people in a genuine family business
We come from Raahe, Northern Ostrobothnia, and we are proud to continue the Hämeenaho family business. Pentti founded Hämeenaho in the 1960s to have a company where actions meet words and employees enjoy their work. Today, we have about 150 employees and about 80 subcontractors. Many of our employees have worked in Hämeenaho for more than 20 years.
We will continue to grow, but we are not growing out of being an approachable and solution-oriented family business. It is who we are – people who do what they say.
The green transition is in all of us
Our work history is founded on circular economy and is a part of the second generation of Hämeenaho. Even now, we transport tons of metal, soil, and machinery – while helping our clients in their green transition. With experience, good planning, and our ever-greener equipment, we are able to leave the smallest possible carbon footprint. We do as we say, and with us, you get to do your part in meeting the environmental goals more efficiently.
Our Services
The core of our services is in the circular economy. We collect steel production by-products and working and waste material of metal processing. We process these by-products and deliver the recycled material to our commissioners.
Infra works related to infrastructural construction are also a significant part of our operations. We have been involved in energy and wind power projects in various parts of Finland for years, and our plans to expand to Sweden have already come to fruition.

We live our certificates
We already have environmental and quality certificates, and our work safety will also be certified at the beginning of 2024. The certificates will hang on our office walls, but the most important thing to us is the actual practice and development of these standards.
Our goal is to go beyond the official responsibility requirements. By doing so, we can make a difference to our customers’ competitiveness.
